While there are several online tools available, I’ll guide you through my preferred method using Astro-Seek, which offers a clean, user-friendly interface perfect for both beginners and experienced astrology enthusiasts.
What you’ll need
Your birth date
Your exact birth time (check your birth certificate!)
Your birth location (city and country)
Step by step
Go to astro-seek.com
Click on “Birth Chart” on the homepage
Input your birth date
Enter your birth time (be careful to select AM or PM correctly)
Type in your birth city and country
Look for “Extended Settings” in light gray text
Click to expand the options
Under house system, change from “Placidus” to “Whole Sign”
This traditional system provides clearer house divisions and makes interpretation more straightforward
Click “Calculate Chart”
Your birth chart will appear with clean, whole-sign house divisions
Why whole sign houses?
I prefer the whole sign system because:
Each house contains exactly one zodiac sign
Interpretations are clearer and more straightforward
It follows traditional astrological practices
Houses are evenly distributed, making it easier to read
It provides consistent elemental patterns across houses
