Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Here is a sneak peek of the Spirit of Eucalyptus from my upcoming Elements of Emotion book.

Eucalyptus is the dawn of a new day. She brings hope and joyful anticipation for what lies ahead.

Eucalyptus embodies gratitude for not only the big things, but also the little things that often slip away from our conscious awareness.

She gives us the deepest of breadths to take in cleansing oxygen to clear our mind and support our body. In many ways, she helps us to receive blessings and gifts that lift our spirit. She even helps us accept and see that there still is some goodness in humanity, after all.

After living through many disappointments over the years, it is understandable to have a cynical viewpoint towards humanity and proceed with caution.

Those betrayals and shortcomings have a way of occupying space in the Lungs, which limit the intake of pure air qi and shallows the breath. The pessimism prevents taking full advantage of the Lungs’ capacity to not only receive pure air qi, but also receive divine inspiration and gratitude. When the Lungs are restricted, then the rest of the body is restricted as well.

Do you walk into new situations with your arms crossed over your chest and a smirk on your face? Do you have an internal checklist of red flags that you are actively hunting for? Do you doubt first, and then trust way later? Are you automatically in defensive mode?

There is merit to being cautious and performing due diligence before opening ourselves vulnerably. However, there is a qualitative difference between being responsible and having a grim and bleak outlook on life.

Eucalyptus invites in greater amounts of pure air qi (presence), and gifts us with appreciating what is already in front of us. Relief overcomes the soul as she teaches us to gradually melt into the peace of the present.

Connection to the infinite present reminds us that there is no lack. The body no longer needs to be “on guard” for danger, as comfort and ease fills the chest and body with each inhale of Eucalyptus.

When peace floods our spirit, we notice the shimmer of beauty in the littlest of things. It doesn’t require much to experience happiness. Just a nice deep breath.
