At the age of 23,
one of my life's greatest
challenges began...
I went into a manic episode that left me hospitalized for 7 days. After the mania came a deep, dark depression. I never understood how people could experience such depression until then.
I learned how our thoughts and emotions can cripple us into giving up hope.
After that episode, I experienced three more, suffering from mood extremes and racing thoughts. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs kept me grounded enough to finish getting my Master's in Traditional Chinese Medicine. But, I knew there was another medicine out there for me.
One day, I serendipitously discovered the power of Elemental Medicine. That day, my life changed.
I began experimenting with healing modalities the way I would make Chinese herbal formulas, understanding that the elements within us needed to be balanced and harmonized.
The guiding principle of Chinese Medicine is that 99% of illnesses in the body are rooted in the spirit.
With that understanding, I used various healing tools - including essential oils as "needles" - to apply on acupuncture points and meridians to heal my spirit and balance the elemental energies within me.
This application of Elemental Medicine moved my energy so quickly that even to this day it blows my mind.
With consistent application, I became stronger and learned how to manage my emotions rather than falling victim to them.
I developed the courage and excitement to become a master of this craft and share it with the world.
Today, I am soaring.
This doesn't mean that I am immune to challenges and hard times. But even in the struggles, I now have the tools to move gracefully through the pain and appreciate its purpose.
