2023 Energetic Forecast

Hello 2023! Here we come!

I’m calling this the year of “Adulting.”

I’ve spoken to many of my students about how this year will be a busy one……a good and fruitful busy. There will be less nonsense, and less of the “going around in circles”, expending all this energy without ending up anywhere different. There will be more feelings of satisfaction from all the efforts we invest. It’s time to feel real progress.

Thankfully, we have the year of Water Rabbit upon us to calm us into a cool and collected space, zone into what matters, and put out the fires of 2022.

Rabbits are clever, swift and enduring. One important characteristic of the rabbit to highlight: its sense of responsibility. They take care of what needs to be taken care of. All the important details that have been put off for WAY TOO LONG have become painful to ignore.

Being a Water Rabbit year means there is strength, gentleness, composure and good reasoning skills in our favor as we do the “Adulting” thing. Even though one should feel that sense of “flow” the majority of the time, there still will be that 10-20% that is not so fun. But, with the energy of Water Rabbit on our side, that irritating part won’t feel as bad as you think. That last “typically” annoying 10-20% is still needed to come to full completion and wholeness.

Water is Yin, and rabbits are Yin. There is much reflection and keen intuition that this year provides. Behind our diligent action is the thoughtful and strategic yin. There isn’t jumping impulsively into random things. Instead, we will operate from heightened self-awareness and hop away from distractions.

Productivity is a major theme of the year. There is resiliency, a quiet constancy, and steady movement towards our goals. Between the elegance of water and the industrious nature of the rabbit, there is a perfect marriage of Yin and Yang energies.

This is a year we are going places! Think progress and fortune (fertility) because of the creativity and resourcefulness with handling our problems.

For the one who desires to accomplish a lot of things in an efficient manner, you will have great fun with all the activities of 2023. What used to feel hard won’t feel as hard, and your cup will feel full because of the extreme intention and diligence with which you live your life.
